Cooking a big pork shoulder does not have to be for the professionals, this recipe is for all cooking levels. PERi-PERi is there to help you through it!


  • 1 1/4 cup PERi-PERi sauce
  • 3 lbs pork shoulder
  • 2 tbsps olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 onion
  • 1 sprig of thyme
  • 2 lbs potatoes
  • 4 spring onions
  • Small bunch of fresh dill

Cooking Instructions

1 Preheat oven to 425℉. Chop onion and carrot into chunks and place on bottom of ovenproof dish. Drizzle with oil and throw in thyme
2 Place pork shoulder on top of vegetables. Coat with oil and season to preference. Cover with aluminum foil and roast in oven for 30 minutes
3 After 30 minutes, reduce oven to 250℉ and cook for 9 hours (or an entire Netflix series)
4 Slice and dice potatoes. Add salt to boiling water and then the potatoes. Bring potatoes to a boil.
5 While potatoes are boiling chop spring onion and dill. Then drain and put potatoes in large bowl. Add in spring onions, dill and PERi-PERi sauce. Mix it up!
6 Once the pork is done cooking allow to rest, then being to shred. Add PERi-PERi and mix to coat pork
7 Serve pork and potatoes and eat up!
